Sweet Peril by Wendy Higgins Blog Tour - meet Blake!
Squeals!!! I can barely hold my excitement today because I’m having the Sweet Peril Tour stopping here today! Sweet Peril is the second book after Sweet Evil which seriously blew my mind last year!
and… now I’m being über-excited to have Blake here. Blake is the Son of the Duke of Envy, super gorgeous and he has everything other would dream of having.. Yeah, Duke of Envy! So, I had the change to meet Blake and for a super short moment I even forgot Kai..

Hi Blake, thank you so much for inviting me to your über-impressive home! You truly have an amazing home *looks around dazzled*
Blake: Hey, no problem Danny! Thanks for having me. And, yeah, my pops goes a little overboard when he buys a house. But it’s all good. I enjoy it. Lots of parties and shiz.
Is.. uhm Kai around by chance?
Blake: Ah…I see how it is! *laughs*
Not that I wouldn’t like to talk to you alone… it’s just … you know … it’s Kai and I saw him outside while we were waiting… Uhm… *blushes*
Blake: Sure, sure. *winks* Yeah, he’s around here somewhere. Probably actin’ all broody and whatnot. He hasn’t been much fun since that summit in New York City. But even when he’s all grumpy, chicks still think he’s hot. What up with dat?
So Blake, how is it being the son of the Duke of Envy, isn’t it utterly demanding constantly being the best?
Blake: *stretches* Yep. It’s a tough life, you know? But someone’s gotta do it. Nah, for real, I have fun when I can, laugh when I can, hang with my Neph friends when I can, but there’s never a time when I’m truly happy or, like, at ease. Sorry to be a downer. I put on a smile, but stuff ain’t always what it seems.
Do you maybe envy even Kai? I mean…. he’s a chick-magnet isn’t he?
Blake: Please. Have you seen him surf? He freakin’ sucks. The kid’s got nothing on me! Haha. Man, come on. No straight dude in his right mind wouldn’t feel threatened and jealous of Kaidan Rowe. Girls can’t help but stare.
….and then there is Anna, I know their relationship isn’t the best right now, but we all know that they love each other *leans in conspiratorially*
Blake: Oh, do WE all know that? ‘Cause I don’t know crap when it comes to those two. They’re messed up. And I know how it is. I know how they feel. I like to tease Ginger when I see her and stuff, but the truth is, I’m glad she pushes me away, cause two Neph together is like lighting dynamite. Bound to blow up. Yeah, it hurts. It sucks. And I’m keepin’ my mouth shut. Stop tryin’ to get me in trouble, girl. ;-P
Oh and don’t worry, I won’t tell the Dukes . this remains between us and .. my Readers!
Blake: Mm-hm. And did you have to go and say the “D” word? *shudders in a manly way*
A lot has changed since Anna came into your lives. How do you feel about this? Is it time for a change or are you frightened about what’s to come…
Blake: Everything got crazy once Anna stepped on the scene. I love to mess with that girl. She’s so sweet and innocent, and freaking gullible. And if I’m being serious, she’s the hope we all need, but never thought we’d get. I ain’t skeered. Bring it on, baby!
If you would have one wish for yourself and for all of your Nephilim – what would you wish for?
Blake: I’d wish for no more “D” word. If they could disappear…yeah.
You’re sure Kai wouldn’t come and talk to me too?? … It’s just … uhm…
Blake: Trust me. He’s in a foul mood. Of course you’d probably think his frowny face was all cute and stuff, right? *grins* Man…freaking Kai. Lucky bastard.
*clears throat*… ..thanks Blake for talking to me and inviting me in. Would you mind .. showing me the rest of the house, it clearly is one of the most beautiful home I have ever seen…
Blake: Sure thing, babe. Come with me…

Anna Whitt, the daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself she’d never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She’d been naive to make such a vow. She’d been naive about a lot of things.
Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school’s party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.
When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?

Discussed! Magic Moments in Book Blogging!
Oh guys! I hope you are all having a great Saturday.
I had such a wonderful week, that I wanted to share some of those wonderful and bewitched moments with you. Especially in light of our 3 Year Blogiversary, I wanted to post a happy post today! This last week showed me again, how much Book Blogging makes me happy. And it’s not about books or items I get – it’s what is beyond that.
The love for a story.
The love for an author.
I feel incredibly lucky to have a chance to interact on such a personal level, with authors, publishers and other bloggers!!
Of Triton by Anna Banks
I was screaming when I got the package! You might remember how fangirly excited I was about Of Poseidon last year. I was honestly hugging the book when it came! One day, I even color coordinated my clothes with the cover. Or it was rather, I was dressing myself and then I realized – holy cow, my clothes match the cover perfectly! You have to be a real geek to even realize such a thing..
I can’t express my love for this book and Anna Banks! I just wish at some point I could meet her….
Yes, I’m a geek!
And just so you know.. Of Triton was FANTASTIC!!!!
Scarlet and Macmillan Love Fest
I got such a cute package from Macmillian and .. I was confused as I didn’t expect any books. But, wowoo when I opened I was so beautifully surprised! I got a bright red Scarlet Hoodie and some other goodies. It’s sooo snuggly and cute I love it!!
See what I mean? look at my smiling face…
Wendy Higgins and Sweet Peril
Just like Of Poseidon, Sweet Evil totally blew me away last year. During the time the sequel was up in the air I was so sad that I came into contact with Wendy Higgins. This lead then to the Cover Design contest where the winner could win to become a character in Sweet Peril. I was so excited when Wendy was loving this idea and going with is. I did it because of the love for a book and because Wendy is such a sweet and wonderful person.
I had no idea that this contest would attract sooo many people and fans. But then… the biggest thing ever happend, because Wendy decided to not only take the winner’s name Jenny (Supernatural Snark) but also mine and Tara’s..
I couldn’t believe it.. This is the most epic thing ever.
So this week, Wendy send me an ARC.
And.. I was so touched and emotional – I had tears in my eyes! (No kidding, I’m a cry-baby).
Not only did Wendy sign the book, but she also put me in the acknowledgment. Hello? Me? I was so stunned I was tearing up!
Then.. I found the scene where Wendy put in Jenny, Tara and me (Daniela)…. I was speechless! She not only took our names but also gave me an european accent making this whole scene even more surreal for me.
I’m still not believing it and you can all bet that I will frame this copy!!!
So yes, all these moments were full of magic.. and just bewitched! Something I would be able to experience if I wouldn’t have decided 3 years ago to start Book Blogging.
I feel so lucky and all this just makes me life a little more wonderful and I am thankful for this experience!
So guys, after I shared my bewitched moments, do you also have moments where you were so touched? Please share with me, I’d love to hear all about it!
Much magic love!
P.S.: Don’t forget to enter our 3yrs Blogiversary Celebration Giveaway of a Kindle Fire!

Quote from my Review:
This was a phenomenal book that totally left me speechless with how much I adored it. The writing is so amazingly beautiful and so incredibly full of emotions I had tears in my eyes nearly throughout. I felt everything Juliette felt. Adam is the swoon-worthy boy that makes the story well-rounded and simply perfect!

Quote from my Review
Dark and thrilling with incredible real and hauntingly beautiful characters! The Immortal Rules is the perfect preface into a new exciting series full of kick ass characters you are going to care and cheer for and that has a gripping story which leaves you graving for more! It sucks you in and won’t let you go until you read the very last page! Julie Kagawa is a Rockstar in the YA Paranormal World and The Immortal Rules is epic awesomeness for sure!

But, I loved this book so much and reminded me of my favorite TV show : Friday Night Lights! I loved Jordan and the romance was cute and hot and absolutely full of butterflies! Staling Parker is the next book from Miranda Kenneally and it is as awesome if not better. (Was a tough decision between those two books…)

Quote from my Review
Smashing, Cute and Sexy. From What I Remember… is a excitingly beautiful story with love, self-discovery and a thrilling set of characters. If you look for a lovely coming of age novel, that will touch your heart, make you laugh and cry – then you most definitely should pick this one up. Elizabeth Norris created with Unraveling a thrilling tale that is full of intrigue, suspense, drama, heartbreak and sweet love, perfected with beautiful and wonderful characters that will need a place in your heart! Unraveling took my by surprise, I loved every second I spend between those pages and that I spend with Janelle, Ben and Jared. Quote from my Mini-view from goodreads
This was a phenomenal debut! It was raw intensive, emotional, heartbreakingly sad and beautiful at the same time. This is the story of two characters that lived through something horrible and together they find a way back to life and to hope. I was sobbing a few times throughout the book. It was touching, emotionally raw and it left me wishing those two will finally find peace.

Quote from my Review
Of Poseidon was epic and a pure wonderment! Anna Banks created a tale that was heart-melting, mysterious funny and just fanfreakingtastic! The characters were amazing with a heroine who was smart cute and snarky and Galen the boy who stole Emma’s heart but will also steal yours! Of Poseidon will get a place on my special-awesomeness shelf of epic tales and I hope it will get a place on yours!

Quote from my Review
Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins is a highly seductive read, with intense and memorable characters which will suck you into their tale and occupy your mind even after finishing the last page. Anna is an adorable heroine perfect for a tale of good and evil and Kaidan is her perfect counterpart who will enter your dreams and won’t let you go! *dies of this epicness*
That’s my list of awesome! And … just looking at these books and reading my reviews again remembered me how much I love these books and yes, I would totally (like right now) read them again! I am super excited to see what else is to come for this year.. It has to be really really good to top my list right now!
There are tons of books I’m looking forward to so let’s see what epicness hides behind those pages!

Much Love,
Sweet EvilWhat if there were teens whose lives depended on being bad influences? This is life for sons and daughters of fallen angels in Sweet Evil.
Tenderhearted Southern girl, Anna Whitt, was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. Sheâs aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isnât until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage, and her will-power is put to the test. Heâs the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.
A cross-country trip to meet her father forces Anna to face the reality that hope and love are not options for her kind. When she confronts her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?
You know why I love reading? It’s because of books like this! This book seriously blew me away with it’s epic awesomness! Remember last week when I was raving and fangirling over Of Poseidon? Be aware, this will happen again, right now!
*takes a deep breath*
Sweet Evil is a story about evil and an epic forbidden love story! Anna was always able to see the aura of other people and she knew she was different, yet she never knew why. It’s when she meets Kaidan … *pause*… that she begins to discover who and what she is. And… its not pretty!, it’s terrifying and shatters Anna’s world!
The whole story was fast paced, never boring and I especially loved the time frame. This first book spans around 8 month of Anna’s Life and it gives so much room for development which is what I especially loved! There is so much happening, yet never overwhelming. (Although, I was admittedly and constantly overwhelmed by Kaidan’s presence..)
Anna was such an incredible wonderful character and I wanted to hug her simply for being her. She’s the sweetest and nicest girl you can imagine, there is nothing considerably bad about her. You might say this sounds boring and stereotype much, yet it is simply Anna’s nature to be so sweet. It’s pure her and it feels utterly genuine and real. I loved Anna with her naivety and innocence and she as a character worked absolutely perfect for this story!! Anna never felt wrong to me and it’s due to Wendy Higgins talent that I fell in love with this adorable girl!
Kaidan .. *pauses* is the perfect and exact opposite to Anna. He’s alluring, mysterious, thrilling and he is seductive. (*oh my… he’s Seductive with a Captial S) Oh and I should mention his british accent -*swoons*. He is one of those characters that instantly made an impression and you cannot turn away from him, being utterly fascinated by this boy the instant he enters to the stage! In all honesty, I have no words to describe the effect Kaidan had on me. He featured everything I love in paranormal novels including his outrageous attitude, seductive hotness, strong package and the promise that there is more inside him which needs to be discovered.
In Kaidan, there is no innocence, he’s the bad boys girl fall for and get broken. He uses girls, throws them away, yet he mostly comes out unscathed. Anna is the first girl who is not falling for his charm instantly - she’s simply not the girl who likes to play games. At the same time, Anna is the first girl that ever wants to look into his soul and his heart - something incredibly frightening for Kaidan. There is something about Anna that will  ruin everything he has ever believed in …
He was smoking hot. As in H-O-T-T, hott. I’d never understood until that moment why girls insisted on adding an extra t. This guy was extra-t-worthy. - Anna, Sweet Evil, ARC pg.10
Good gracious, he was sexy - a word that had no existed in my personal vocabulary until now.  - Anna, Sweet Evil, ARC, pg. 18
This whole story was incredible emotional and Wendy Higgins has this incredible talent to make you feel what their characters felt. I was right there with Anna, feeling her emotions instead of reading them, absorbing them and making them my own. THIS is why I read, this is what I want! I want to feel the butterflies when they kiss I want to feel the heartbreak and I want to shed tears with them! Sweet evil is all that and more! Moreover, Sweet Evil is incredibly sexy - it’s hot, it’s steamy yet it still stays suitable for an older YA readership. We never get too far, although this teasing was driving me nuts!
*yes! it’s the magic rating of wonderment!*Â
*dies of this epicness*Â
I had the incredible pleasure talking to Kaidan, and yes I embarrassed myself - much! So, please come back on Wednesday to meet Kaidan win a copy (yes of course we have a copy for you) and some swag! Seriously, you don’t want to miss this!  Also, I personally request this to be made an audiobook with non one else than Phil Gigante giving Kaidan his voice!
And here is the awesome Trailer, but, I personally think the boy does look nothing like Kaidan!!!
Have a steamy start in the new week!
Much Love, yours
